Of course, it doesn't compress the lungs, although this shape also reduces the rib cage in some point, but still it's not a problem when you go slowly.

Ohhh of course, does it permanently change the shape the ribcage over time? Because, I swear waists just aren't that tiny! :p

No it's not permanent. When you take the corset off, everything gets back in a normal position, and you can't permanently reshape the waist by wearing the corsets.

Also the lower ribs (for most people) are very flexible so they can bend without breaking while tight laced.

When you are tight laced in a corset, inner organs do change their place, but they return to the normal position after removing the corset. But it is important to start with a small reductions. The organs move the similar way like in pregnancy so it's not dangerous cause woman body is naturally predisposed for it.

Of course all of this also depends on a humans anatomy and constitution , so some people can get a huge reduction, and some people don't. I'm lucky to have an anatomy of those who can :) Also the main part is on the corset shape.

Hope this helps to resolve mysteries of a corsets :)

Aha oh wow thanks, this has actually cleared up a lot of things I've been wondering about them for ages! They've always terrified me > . <!

I used to have this dream where I was in one and couldn't breath at all, while some demon used to tighten it... :(

Thanks so much :) They look awesome btw!

What a terrible night mare. :fear:
Nobody would wear them if they can't breath :) I was glad to share my knowledge with you.
Thanks :)

I knoww, it's worse being a boy lol! I was kinda worried :)

And I suppose that's what it comes down too, no one would wear them if they hurt that bad! Oh and you're welcome ;D

But males can be tight laced too. They just need a bit different shape of a corset. [link]

I still need to finish lots of things before putting my first listings. Like measure form, standard sizes, possible mock ups, postage charges... Now I can say only that the prices will be low until I got some feedback :) If you are interested I can let you know when I start.
